The Genius of Charles Darwin (According to Richard Dawkins)

Darwinmania is kicking into full gear as we celebrate Darwin’s 200th birthday and the 150th anniversary of Origin of Species (download zip audio here). It perhaps seems appropriate, then, that the festivities would get started with Richard Dawkins launching a three part series on British TV called The Genius of Charles Darwin. (Read the official web site here.) Here, Dawkins “explains who Charles Darwin was, how he developed his theory, what it is, and why it matters. He reveals how Darwin changed forever the way we see ourselves, the world and our place in it, and hopes to convince us that ‘evolution’ is a fact, backed by undeniable evidence.” Below, we have posted the beginning of Episode 1. You can get the remaining segments here: Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, and Part 5.
