The White Album Turns 40

The Beatles’ White Album turned 40 last week. And that put the classic album back in the spotlight, leading critics to revisit the band’s most experimental and controversial work.     A mess? The Beatles only double album? Sure there was some filler on it, but there was more than one album of great recordings also. Side 1 is perfection.

    To me it’s their greatest album due to the variety. I find it endlessly listenable.
