Today, we’re adding to our colÂlecÂtion of Free Online Movies a great litÂtle film by Emile Cohl, othÂerÂwise known as “The Father of the AniÂmatÂed CarÂtoon.” Made in 1908, FanÂtasÂmagorie stitched togethÂer 700 drawÂings, each douÂble-exposed, creÂatÂing the first fulÂly aniÂmatÂed film. Cohl made over 250 films between 1908 and 1923, of which 37 surÂvive in film archives. And sevÂerÂal – Le cauchemar de FanÂtoche (1908) and The HashÂer’s DelirÂiÂum (1910) – appear right here on YouTube.
