A little something for the Dead Heads among us. JerryGarcia.com relaunched this past week, and boy does it deliver. Run by Garcia’s family, the new site offers great visual timelines of the singer-songwriter’s life and the 26 bands he played with; a cool look at the many guitars he owned and loved; interactive maps that let you follow 10 Grateful Dead tours from 1970 to 1993. You can also listen to the shows themselves, which have been archived graciously by Archive.org — something we’ve told you about before. In total, the new site will lead you to 5,000 hours of recorded music and 3,450 shows, according to Rolling Stone. It’s a beautiful thing to see Jerry’s life and music being celebrated in such an open way.
