ParaÂmount PicÂtures has launched an offiÂcial, verÂiÂfied YouTube chanÂnel — called The ParaÂmount Vault — where you can watch full length films for free [update: if you’re based in the US]. You won’t find ParaÂmounÂt’s best-known films in The Vault, but nonetheÂless there are some qualÂiÂty, if not enterÂtainÂing, picks among the 150 films.
The movies are grouped into the folÂlowÂing playlists: ClasÂsics, ComÂeÂdy, Action/Adventure, DraÂma, HorÂror, WestÂerns, SciÂence FicÂtion, and Thrillers. And they include motion picÂtures like 1987’s IronÂweed with Jack NicholÂson and Meryl Streep, HamÂlet (1990) with Glenn Close and Mel GibÂson, Paris When It SizÂzles (1964) with William HoldÂen and Audrey HepÂburn, Elvis in King CreÂole (1958), CharlÂton HesÂton in the 1950 noir film Dark City, Gene Wilder in FunÂny About Love (1990), and MarÂgot at the WedÂding (2007) with Nicole KidÂman, Jack Black and JenÂnifer Jason Leigh.
The ParaÂmount Vault has been verÂiÂfied by YouTube, so it looks like it’s the real deal. There is also an accomÂpaÂnyÂing verÂiÂfied FaceÂbook page.

EveryÂbody in CanaÂda who’s seriÂous about interÂnet conÂnecÂtivÂiÂty should subÂscribe to a VPN to bypass geo-blockÂing. There’s some free ones out there, but you’d do betÂter with one of the secuÂriÂty-seriÂous comÂmerÂcial ones. Look it up on Google. Costs about US$60 per year for the full serÂvice; well worth it.
