We wouldn’t be doing our job here at Open Culture if we didn’t let you know that Seasons 1-3 of Bob Ross’ The Joy of Painting are now free to watch on the official Bob Ross Youtube channel. Watch Season 1 here. Season 2 here. And now Season 3 above. Combined, that makes 39 free episodes from the PBS educational TV show which aired from 1983 to 1994. Perfect, I’d think, for a snowy weekend on the east coast.

I used to watch Bob Ross whenever he was on. His voice is so soothing that it usually puts me to sleep, but I love his art as well. Maybe I’ll watch these again and actually try painting something!
Love Bob Ross!
