Below you can hear a free audio version of Ayn Rand’s 1938 novella, Anthem. Originally meant to be a play, this work of dystopian fiction “takes place at some unspecified future date when mankind has entered another dark age. Technological advancement is now carefully planned and the concept of individuality has been eliminated.” The novel “upholds Rand’s central principles of her philosophy and of her heroes: reason, values, volition, individualism.” You will need to download Spotify’s free software to play the audio. This recording will be added to our collection, 1,000 Free Audio Books: Download Great Books for Free
