Adieu Alfred

The actor Michael Gough died this past week. He was 94 years old, and best remem­bered for his role as Alfred the But­ler in the Bat­man movies. (We pay quick trib­ute to that role above). Beyond that, Gough had a long stage career, begin­ning back in the mid 1940s, and played char­ac­ter roles in films rang­ing from campy hor­ror films to Out of Africa.
