Streaming Movies Online: The Future is Almost Now

According to Netflix’s CEO, the DVD is done, and the future is all about streaming movies online. (Read the Wall Street Journal piece on that.) This segues nicely to a list that we have compiled that contains 1) over 100 high quality films that you can watch online for free, and 2) 35 web sites where you can watch free movies online. The collection is called Free Movies Online: Great Classics, Indies, Film Noir, Documentaries & More.

    I watch nearly all my movies using Netflix’s streaming capabilities. Usually works very well, sometimes some network latency issues. Occassionally the program crashes my whole computer and I have to reboot with a disk scan, so no, it’s not perfect but it’s pretty darn convenient to look for a film at 3:00 AM and find one you want to watch and just click and go.

    I watch all my movies on Netflix. Stream through my Xbox360 and snail mail for all of those not available on demand.

    I think the Streaming Movies are the future of watching movies as its quite cost effective and the movie quality can be streamed in HD.

    Also check out movies-play.com, they show movies and tv shows, some in HD quality.
