Back in 1965, Jim HenÂson, the great pupÂpeteer, wrote, directÂed and starred in a short experÂiÂmenÂtal film, Time Piece, which preÂmiered at the MuseÂum of ModÂern Art in NYC. RunÂning a short nine minÂutes, the film takes a surÂreÂal look at the passÂing of time. And, despite veerÂing off into rather strange terÂriÂtoÂry, the film struck a chord with critÂics and the film comÂmuÂniÂty. Time Piece would be nomÂiÂnatÂed for an AcadÂeÂmy Award.
