Doña Lupe: An Early, Short Horror Film by Guillermo del Toro (1985)

Long before Pan’s Labyrinth (2006), Blade II (2002), and Hellboy (2004), the Mexican-born director Guillermo del Toro shot Doña Lupe. Del Toro made the short film in 1985, when he was only 19 years old. According to one reviewer, the film “feels like the work of an amateur artist getting to grips with his craft.” The film is in Spanish. Currently, subtitles are unavailable. You can find Doña Lupe listed in our collection, 4,000+ Free Movies Online: Great Classics, Indies, Noir, Westerns, Documentaries & More.
