To celÂeÂbrate the 50th anniverÂsary of manned space travÂel, Attic Room ProÂducÂtions has released First Orbit, a 99-minute free film that recreÂates Yuri GagarÂin’s hisÂtoric launch into space on April 12, 1961 — in real time. We watched the whole film, which was shot entireÂly in space from on board the InterÂnaÂtionÂal Space StaÂtion. And it’s breathÂtakÂing. We were espeÂcialÂly blown away by the re-entry sequence, startÂing at about 1:10:00.
